2009 Federal Way Blast Off Finalists!
GRFC Boys ’97 White
The Boys ’97 White team along with guest players from the Boys ’97 Red and Boys ‘98 Blue teams played some entertaining soccer on their way to the finals!
They beat Crossfire Premier ’97 Lugo and FWU Storm ’97 White and played the Chinook Fire ’97 in the final game of pool play. It was a virtual standoff but the Fire scored in the final 2 minutes to win the game 1-0 and to set up a re-match in the finals. The final match went to overtime and then to penalty kicks before the boys lost.
Coach Daniel Scott was very pleased with the effort the boys put forth, and noted the overall character they displayed throughout the tournament is a testament to type of young men they are becoming.
