With the help of guest players, Tim Bombeli, Ethan Diaz, Ethan Kem, and Holden Kooiker the boys 98 red team made it to the finals in their first tournament together.  The first game of the tournament ended in a 2-2 draw against Crossfire Select 98 Mele.  Game #2 ended in a 4-3 loss to the UP Seawolves who scored a last minute goal to clinch the win.  The third game gave our boys a 2-1 win over SCFC 98 blue, and the final game ended in a 4-1 loss to Eastside FC 98 blue.
 
Because of some confusion by tournament officials over game scores the team didn’t find out until Sunday morning that they had made it to the final game.  Coach Mike Morris got the 5 am email notifying the team that they had made playoff game.  The team showed their intrepid spirit by hauling themselves down to the Kent Pea Patch on short notice, but ready to play.  The boys played a tough, intense game that ended in a 4-1 loss to the SGESC Fusion Bombers.
