2011 Snohomish Bigfoot Champions
G U15 Gold
GRFC 97 Blue finished off the summer tourney season with winning the U15 Gold bracket at Bigfoot. The 97 Blue team went 3-0 in bracket play with only allowing 1 goal in the 3 games. Semi finals brought two GRFC teams together with the 97 Blues taking on the 96 Blues who advanced to the semi’s. In a great game by both teams, who both really wanted it by the pace of play, the 97 Blues got a late second half goal to advance to the finals where they beat the host team 2-0.
2011 Lake Oswego NIKE Cup Champions
G U14 Premier
The 2011 Summer Tourney continued with GRFC G97 Blue winning the Lake Oswego NIKE Cup. The girls went undefeated over the weekend topped off with a thrilling victory in the finals 2-1 over THUSC Iridium. Congrats ladies, as you have won 3 of the 4 tourneys played to date.
Thanks to those girls who filled in for Kimmy, Jamie and Erin!!
The 2011/2012 Tournament season continued with GRFC G97 Blue winning the U15 Gold bracket at the Sims Honda Skagit Firecracker. The girls went 4-0-1 in their two days of play, winning the championship on their third game of the day 5-1 against the host team NW United.
The 2011/2012 Tournament season started with the girls winning the Skagit River Cup. With 4 new players and Todd as their new coach, playing in the Skagit River Cup provided a good way for the girls to get familiar, in game conditions, with each other and having Todd coaching them. The girls went 3-0 in their three games and did not allow a goal.
Thanks to all who helped fill in the spots for Mia and Jamie who had conflicts this weekend. Your play greatly helped.
The girls made there way to Santa Cruz to compete in the Breakers Cup hoping to continue the success they have had during the summer tournament season. 97 Blues went 1-1-1 in group play and were able to win the tie breaker to put themselves into the finals. The finals was a well played game by both teams with GRFC losing 3-2. Since some team members had to leave to make it the airport to catch their flight we did not capture an awards photo. Congrats ladies!
