GRFC B91 Blue Awarded the Ranking of P2 for the Season of 2009-2010

Thanks to the new CAP rankings GRFC B91 Blue has been awarded the ranking of P2 for the season of 2009-2010. The boys played hard each year and each year they won there respective league for the fall season and combined with there tournament success, especialy there State Cup Championship and Runner-up finish at the Region Four Presidents Cup they were granted the right to play in the second highest league. The boys have always played at a high level but never found success at the LPT (League Placement Tournament) each year. Congratulation boys and good luck with your up coming season.

2009 Region IV President's Cup Finalists
GRFC Boys '91 Blue
The Greater Renton F.C. Boys ’91 Blue, coached by Daniel Scott, had a fantastic showing at the 2009 Region IV, US Youth Soccer President’s Cup.
Opening their pool play against the Oregon team (Centennial SC) they started with a hard fought 4-1 victory.  On day two they squared off against the Cal South representitives (Conquistamerica) falling 6-1.  Day three had the GRFC men bounce back with a victory over the tough Three Rivers team representing the WC/WA area.
 
Having taken 2nd in pool play, the men were set to face off Conquistamerica once again in the Regional Final!  The guys fought hard and played even better this time against the So. Cal reps, yet fell by a 3-0 score at the final whistle.
 
Congratulations to coach Scott and all the men on their great showing at Regionals.  You played very well indeed.  GRFC and all of Washington is proud of the way you represented yourselves, the club, the state and region.
