GRFC Announces New Sponsorship with nuun

GRFC is excited to announce a new partnership with nuun active hydration.

nuun is a sugar-free, portable hydration tablet that you add to any water source for optimal hydration. It turns any water source into a light, refreshing drink that provides an optimal balance of electrolytes to maximize hydration. We have entered this partnership for the balance of the 2009 – 2010 season.

GRFC will award two nuun scholarships this month based on our sponsorship partnership with them. This opportunity will benefit one male and one female player in our club. Check back soon to see who the recipients are. nuun will also be providing samples at the 2010 GRFC Winter Classic, January 15-18. Be sure to try it out while you’re at the tournament.

nuun is a local company that provides a product that is easy and portable for users. It is also more friendly to the environment because it eliminates water bottle waste. It is not an energy drink loaded with additives and does not contain sugar. Each 16-ounce serving is only 6 calories. It’s great for young athletes, world class athletes and anyone who needs a little flavor to encourage daily water intake.

nuun will be attending our monthly meetings to help introduce us to the product. To learn more about our new partner, please go to their website http://www.nuun.com/ and follow them on
Fund Raising Ideas and Information
In addition to the fundraising opportunities provided by the club to all of its members, there are many opportunities that teams and individuals have to raise funds. This list will be updated as we come across additional ideas. If you have one that your want to share with the rest of the club, please send it to Barbara Zetterberg bzetterberg@comcast.net

**Please remember that the Club does not allow sales of items with the GRFC, Force or Greater Renton Football Club logo on it that have not been approved by the Board. We also do not want teams to sell items which compete with the items for sales on the Fan Gear site. To submit a request to sell items with any of the Clubs logo or Shield, please send an email to Barbara Zetterberg at bzetterberg@comcast.net. In this request, please include:
·         The item
·         A picture of the item and logo to be used
·         Who will be manufacturing the item
These requests will be reviewed at our monthly Board meeting and may generate additional questions. If you have a need for an expedited review, include this in your email and the reason for the expedited review.

The Board is currently working with a company on a Club wide fundraiser. Stay tuned for more details

Gift Wrapping Tables - Get in touch with a store or mall in your area and ask about setting up a gift-wrapping fundraising booth for their customers for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and/or Christmas. Just like regular gift wrapping stations, you can charge different amounts for different levels of wrapping. You will need to invest in boxes, tape, wrapping paper, and bows. You can either accept donations, or charge a fee per gift (depending on size, etc.). Usually the store will let you make announcements advertising your booth over their intercom while you are there gift-wrapping. Make sure you have enough people on hand to staff the booth during times advertised.

Can & Bottle Drive – collect cans and bottles from neighbors and turn in a t a recycling center for profit
