2010 Player Numbering Policy and New Players:
GRFC would like to avoid number conflicts or other problems as much as possible. Our goal is to have consistency while striving to minimize added costs for families. Please note the following:
· Except for goalies and those players affected by the goalie designated numbers (see below) starting in 2010, numbers will carry over from the previous year. Teams will not be starting from “scratch.” Any changes or new player numbers will be coordinated between teams through the Team Manager.
· The order of priority for choosing numbers will always go from the Blue teams to the Red then to the White. However, returning players always have first choice to keep their number. Following tryouts, it is important that Blue teams get their roster passed on to the Red then on to the White teams. Communication needs to continue within each age group throughout the year as new players join GRFC.
· Numbers between 1 and 99 may be used. No player will have a 3 digit number. Please note goalie number choices below. No player may duplicate a goalie number -- there will be no exceptions.
· Goalies for each age group have a choice of either number 1, 18 or 36. Blue teams choose first then Red then White.
· Instructions for new players to a team or GRFC if joining a team after tryouts and TCB fittings dates: these families are directly responsible for their fitting, placing their order after confirming the player number with the Team Manager and providing payment. Please contact your team uniform coordinator with any questions. New players will be able to choose from numbers that are available between the 2 or 3 teams. Blue teams choose first followed by Red then White.
Players who move between teams/age groups may need to make more adjustments and change their number from year to year, as well as, incur additional costs. Every effort will be made to avoid both but an increased potential exists.
ALL TEAMS: Please note in an effort to improve the uniform ordering/delivering process, there are a few changes this year **.
- Prior to fitting dates/times, each team must have their own Uniform Coordinator who will be responsible for placing orders and picking up/delivering items once they arrive.
- Each team will need to provide a roster with player names and numbers (see GRFC Uniform Numbering Policy) to Soccer West at time of fittings.
- **Payment will be directly to GRFC and is due at TCB days. Payments outside TCB, please mail in check (home page) -- include team/player info on the check.
- ** Goalkeepers: each goalkeeper will be required (per DOC) to wear a Club assigned jersey. Full-time keepers will purchase the keeper jersey (vs. game jerseys) and the rest of the kit (shorts, warm-ups, practice tee, bag and socks). For U10-U12 teams only -- a Team GK jersey will be purchased by the Club for their part-time keepers.
- ** NEW 4/29/10: All teams up to U17 will have a set of GAME jerseys w/no# purchased by the club.
- **Soccer West will remain our uniform supplier but will not be responsible for the printing of GRFC uniforms.
- ** Kickit Graphics, the new GRFC silk screen/embroidery company, plans to make deliveries to the Starfire Complex (vs. Soccer West) when the items are completed. They will be contacting each team’s TM or UC once the uniforms are completed.
- **There will be non printed items (ex: balls, socks) which will need to be picked up at Soccer West Factoria. Soccer West will contact each team as needed.
2010 Team Uniform Order Forms:
- At TCB, all players will be provided with an individual player form. We will make copies at TCB (originals stay with the GRFC Board).
- Soccer West will compile all information into Team Order Forms and provide the necessary information to Kickit Graphics. Once orders are completed teams will be provided with copies made so that everything is verified.
- Questions: please contact the Uniform Committee.
